Qatar remains one of the most stable and secure countries in the region. However, due to regional instability, random terrorist attacks, demonstrations, protests, riots or acts of violence cannot be ruled out, as in any country in the world.

On the other hand, it is recalled that prostitution, trafficking, possession and consumption of drugs are crimes punishable by severe prison sentences.

Attention must be paid to local religious and social customs, recommending discretion in dress, not being advisable to have bare shoulders and avoiding too short skirts, as well as discretion in public behavior.

Authorization must be requested from people before photographing them and in no case photograph or film public buildings.

During the holy month of Ramadan, the prohibition on eating, drinking or smoking in public must be respected.
